Zebra ZP 450 Thermal Label Barcode Printer 1000 Label LP 2844 Direct Replacement
There are fewer units available in the market and they are becoming very expensive. The direct replacement is the Zebra ZP 450 direct thermal printer. This newer and updated ZP 450 printer has a stronger motor, it is a faster printer at 5 inch per second versus 3.5 inch per second on the LP 2844. The ZP 450 is more compact with the same label capacity and the AC adapter is built in to the base of the printer, making it more practical to use. The updated printer Thermal head will give you darker labels. These awesome printers understand EPL and ZPL printer language. For most people it does not matter but for some specific name tag applications like the ones used on Churches is very useful because it also replaces the Zebra LP 2844-Z
The ZP 450 uses the same labels as the LP 2844 printer. It can even use the same driver as the LP 2844 in case the software used was specifically designed for the LP 2844 or LP 2844-Z.

There are two versions of these printers. One can only take the 4" wide label and was specifically designed for 4" x 6" shipping labels.

The description says the printer only works with UPS Shipworks, is that true? Yes this a UPS version that was designed for their shipping program but we have drivers that will work perfectly with most other shipping and barcoding programs. If we are not able to make the printer with your application, we will refund all your money and pay for return shipping.
What is the condition of these printers?
These printers are refurbished with a 90 day warranty. Some have minor signs of use, mostly marks on the lens cover, minor scuffs or blemishes that do not affect performance in any way. They are all guaranteed to arrive in great working order. We include all of the components you need to start printing from UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL and lots of proprietary bar code applications, but please make sure the a Zebra Label printer is compatible with your proprietary application before buying. Does the Printer work with Mac Computers?
No and Yes.
No the printer's driver is designed for Windows Computers Only. The new Mac computers that have MS Windows OS installed will work with the printer.
Yes only if you can use the Endicia shipping program for Mac. The program includes a Mac Driver that will work with the Zebra 450. This particular program charges a monthly fee. The monthly fee is waived for large users. All the details about Endicia Shipping program and how it works are included in our Newsletter.
There is a Mac driver included in every computer. That driver will only work if your shipping program outputs labels as PDFs.
There is also a program called Auctane that is internet based that works from eBay so it works with Mac as well. The labels are generated as PDFs and Mac computers have no problem printing PDFs from Macs Directly. The program is eBay approved. You can get more info here:

What is the difference between the Zebra LP-2844 and ZP 450 Printers?
The ZP 450 is the newer version and design of shipping thermal printer with an integrated power supply at the bottom of the printer. The ZP 450 is faster printer at 5 inch per second.
Do you include the Printer's Driver CD?
We do not include the driver CD. There are three different sources for the driver. We include the address of the generic driver inside the printer box. The list of the different links for the driver are included in our Shipping Secrets Newsletter. You can download the generic driver or try the different driver to see which one works best for you.
What happens if the printer does not work with my computer?
Contact us either by phone or email. We will help you troubleshoot and if the printer is defective we will replace it free of charge. If the printer is not defective we and you wish to return it you only have to pay for return shipping. We will refund all your money.
